ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project aims to combat youth radicalization in the Balkans by addressing its root causes through youth work practices.
The first phase of the project, taking place in North Macedonia from April 24 to 30, 2025, will focus on combating youth radicalization in the Balkans. It aims to address the root causes of extremism through youth work practices, exploring effective strategies to prevent radicalization and promote social inclusion.
A second and third phase will be held in Denmark and Belgium. The project consists of two Training Courses, a Study Visit and local activity phase in which all of the participants will take part. The Training Courses will be held using non-formal methodology and learning by doing approach.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- participants must be at least 25 years old (exceptions may be made for highly qualified candidates)
- should have a professional, personal, or educational background related to the project field and be either studying or working in it.
- participants should be committed to sharing the project’s results within their local communities and actively engaged in dissemination and follow-up activities.
- priority should be given to active members, volunteers, youth workers, youth leaders, multipliers, or trainers, especially those working in media literacy, radicalization prevention, or related fields.
- fluency in english and openness to different cultures are required
- participants must be available for all project activities, with exceptions only for emergencies or illness
- a willingness to promote the project and its outcomes after completion is expected.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVEL
- The training course will take place at Hotel Solferino, located in a beautiful and central area in Struga, less than 200 km from the capital, Skopje, and even closer to Tirana, the capital of Albania.
- Accommodation & Meals Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms, divided by gender.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided in the hotel restaurant.
- Training Schedule Daily sessions: 10:00 – 18:00.
- The venue is centrally located in Struga, offering great opportunities to explore the surrounding area.
