Training Course: Discover Act

A training course for young actors active in the youth field who would have participated in Discover EU in the past years to get more acquainted with new opportunities after their experience within DiscoverEU.

In the new framework of DiscoverEU, young people are given a unique opportunity to explore Europe’s diversity, learn about its cultural heritage and history, and connect with people from all over the continent. Ex-participants may be enticed to look forward to enhancing opportunities and being supported to engage more as active European citizens in the field of youth – through through Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).

The Training Course is proposed to showcase the opportunities that actors who are still active in the youth field – starting off from their personal experiences, their individual motivations and the process of identifying societal needs in their community & beyond. This training will offer the next step to look at these experiences, motivations and needs from a different perspective and how those active in the youth filed can respond to their surrounding realities.

The objectives for this Training Course are:

  • Enhance the observation skills and skills to interview people from the community to become aware of a societal need as the essential niche of a project
  • Become aware of the advantages of being in an informal group or being supported within an organisation
  • Get knowledge and awareness of what the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) & Erasmus+ framework are about
  • Provide a basic introduction to project management as basic knowledge to acquire the knowhow to apply in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) & Erasmus+ framework
  • Providing support in taking the first steps in planning activities within the Erasmus+ and ESC framework
