Seminar: Decolonising Ecological Work

Are you concerned about the environment and interested in exploring ecological issues from a decolonial perspective? If you want to create a more inclusive and equitable approach to ecology within youth work, this webinar is for you!

Decolonising Ecological Work seeks to empower youthworkers, youth educators, educators, trainers, youth leaders, youth project managers, youth policy makers, volunteering mentors, and anyone working within the youth field or with young people, to approach and explore ecological issues through a decolonial lens. Here’s why you should consider joining:

Decolonizing Approach: Learn how to decolonize ecological activism, addressing the historical and structural inequalities embedded in environmental movements.

Equity and Inclusivity: Explore strategies to make ecological work more inclusive, ensuring that marginalized voices are heard.

This webinar will be conducted online and consist of two sessions you can attend from the comfort of your own space.

No prior experience in activism, ecology, diversity or specific skills are required. All that is needed is your curiosity, openness, and willingness to learn.

Composition of the team :

Amélie Lemarchand: freelance trainer and facilitator in the non-formal education field, Amélie offers group training courses for associations on a diverse range of thematics: inclusion, diversity, intercultural environment, the fight against all discriminations, etc. She has studied how social issues such as ecology and diversity can intersect and how they have to be comprehended in relation to each other. 

Eleni Kardamitsi: trainer and a sustainability coach supporting organizations, professionals and organizations to be their sustainable selves and entities. She has 10 years of experience in training and facilitation in activism, community building, empowerment, mindfulness and nature-based learning. Eleni supports ecological youth initiatives against fast fashion, food waste, and disconnection from nature.
