Training course description:
The “MORE intercultural competence” project aims to organize a training course to train education professionals on the management of intercultural conflicts created by a situation of mass migration. Through the educational tool MORE, as a role-playing game, participants will be invited to reflect on the social and personal dynamics underlying migratory processes: prejudices, stereotypes, fears, integration, etc. The game itself will be presented as a useful means of responding to micro-conflict situations that everyone is called upon to manage in their professional environment.
Objectives of the training course are the following:
- Reflect and clarify the concept of individual identity;
- Understand that individual identity connects with collective individuality (us);
- Understand those society-based collective identities delimit an area of inclusion and an area of exclusion (you);
- Recognizing and deconstructing stereotypes and prejudices against foreigners;
- How we acquire information (data) about the topic (which are the sources, media literacy);
- Know how to recognize the difference between data and interpretations on the migrant topic;
- Provide participants with a practical educational tool for contributing to the raising of intercultural awareness in their communities and daily activities
Profile of participants:
- Youth Workers, Teachers, Trainers, Educators
- 18+ years old
- Individuals coming from migrant backgrounds who are currently working with young migrants and refugees
- Committed to promoting human rights, inclusivity, and positive youth development
- Willing to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to migration and intercultural competence
- Motivated to participate in all phases of the project (preparation, implementation, dissemination)
- Living in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Travel and accommodation:
The venue is a 3* hotel located in Limassol. Participants will be accommodated in en-suite rooms of 3-4 people of the same gender.
You will be provided with 3 buffet meals & 2 snacks per day.
Accommodation and food costs are 100% covered by Erasmus+.

Arrival to Limassol is planned on 20th of October 2023, before the dinner, and departure is planned for 30th of October 2023, after breakfast. The travel budget for participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina is up to 430 EUR (with additional 60EUR for covering country taxes for reimbursement of travel costs).
