This study visit aims at exploring local youth work in Western Georgia (Zestaphoni, Chokhatauri, Zugdidi municipalities) with a focus on sharing the best practices and enhancing the knowledge about Europe Goes Local, Erasmus+, ESC opportunities.
This study visit will gather municipality representatives, the participants of EGL mentoring programme from EECA region and youth workers. It will allow them to explore local youth work in Georgia, have the space for the discussion in order to develop the quality of the local youth work in their countries and their regions
The participants will be introduced to the work of municipalities and exchange practices and experiences on how they are working with youth on a local level. Participants will also visit youth and cultural centres and meet local youth workers and municipality representatives.

Tuesday, 11th July

- Integration activities
Wednesday, 12th July
- Meeting the Zugdidi EGL partners: city hall, library, cultural centre
- Presentations of participants’ municipalities, contact-making, interests matching
- Presentation of support measures (Erasmus+ Youth, European Solidarity Corps, Europe Goes Local programme, etc.), questions and answers
Thursday, 13th July
- Quality in municipal youth work development
- Sharing of best-practics and experiences
Friday, 14th July
- Visits in Zestafoni Municipality
- Visits in Chokhatauri Municipality
Saturday, 15th July
- Study visits reflection and final evaluation
- Departures for non-mentoring participants
- Mid-term evaluation and reflections of EGL mentoring participants concerning their year-long 2023 programme
