Webinar – #MyDigitalMe: Connected. Informed. Critical.
APRIL 17, 11.00- 13.00 CEST
Topic: Cybersecurity and Media and Information Literacy
Facilitator: Marko Paloski and Kristina Stankovska, ERYICA Youth Ambassadors
Young people face countless challenges when they are online, seeing their safety at stake with every click they choose to make. From identity theft to phishing to fake news and misinformation, technology is evolving so fast that online dangers are becoming more and more creative and unexpected.
Youth information services, as one of the main sources of accurate and up-to-date information for young people, must keep up with the latest developments in technology in order to be able to support young people’s media and information literacy and resilience. This requires, in many cases, in-depth individual research or additional training on technology and cybersecurity issues.
Organised in the framework of the European Youth Information Day 2023, this webinar aims to raise awareness and provide insights on the importance of cybersecurity and media and information literacy for young people in the digital age. It seeks to provide participants with resources to identify online threats and to open a discussion on how youth information workers can keep abreast of the latest developments in technology to help young people become responsible and conscious digital citizens.
