ABOUT YOCOMO
This training is based on the experiences of the innovative YOCOMO training courses for youth workers, organised within the framework of the European Training Strategy (ETS).
The YOCOMO courses explored effective ways to work with the ETS Competence Model for youth workers to work internationally. The courses have been piloted from 2018 to 2021, resulting in a more profound understanding of how competence development processes work. They have also tested several innovative approaches and brought fresh perspectives on how to support the professional development of youth workers. Some of the most valuable insights were working with a focus on attitudes, and seeing the youth workers together with and within their system (the context and the community where they belong and work).
WHY THIS TRAINING?
The main intention of this YOCOMO Training of Trainers is to spread the findings of the YOCOMO experience by equipping more trainers of youth workers in working with the ETS Competence Model, thus contributing to quality youth work in Europe.
This YOCOMO Training of Trainers, therefore, looks to prepare trainers to implement training activities for youth workers with a competence-based approach, in their context.
