Following the creation of the DOYIT eLearning platform and the completion of the Training of Trainers in Youth Information and Counselling, ERYICA is offering two eLearning courses each year for our members. In 2021 these will be a JIMMY – Youth Information Mediator course in spring and an ALTYO – Advocacy and Lobbying Training for Youth Organisations in autumn. The call for participants for the online JIMMY course is now open.
JIMMY is a training course for youth workers on youth information and counselling. It is set up with the intention to upskill youth workers with competences related to youth information, as well as to increase co-operation between them and YI centres. The course will start on 15 February 2021 and last for 5 weeks on the DOYIT eLearning platform. The estimated workload of participants to complete the course is 27 hours (approx. 5 hours/week). The nominating organisations are encouraged to include the training activities in the working hours of the participants. The course will start with a kick-off webinar on 15 February at 15:00-16:30 CET.
The eTrainers will be Mika Pietilä (FI) and Hannes Sildnik (EE), supported by two freshly graduated colleagues of the ERYICAdemy – Training of Trainers.
The expected profile of participants is the following:
- Youth worker or other professional working with youth;
- Motivated to learn about youth information and counselling;
- Committed to the whole duration of the course;
- Has a sufficient level of English to complete the course;
- Bears the support of the ERYICA Member Organisation.
ERYICA will assume all costs related to the delivery of the training. Participants are requested to ensure their internet access and IT equipment to participate.
