WESTERN BALKANS- Ready to show off your design skills? Let the play begin as the Regional Youth Cooperation Organization (RYCO) is inviting young designers from WB6 to enter the challenge for the creation of the Berlin Summit Logo. And this year we changed the game as selected designers are about to work in a group of 6 to jointly create a Permanent logo for this prestigious annual event!
RYCO is promoting the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation between the youth in the region and through such initiative we put once again our mission into action – bringing young minds together to create great ideas that make an impact!
This competition aims to identify 6 talented young people from the region, each coming from different Contracting Parties, and bring them together to create a captivating logo that will be permanently used for the occasion of the Western Balkans Berlin Summit, part of the Berlin Process which gathers together leaders and stakeholders from the region to discuss matters of significant importance and foster regional cooperation.
The Berlin Process was initiated by Germany to promote regional cooperation in the WB and to support the EU’s enlargement policy. Its first summit was held on 28 August 2014 in Berlin. It was followed by summits in Vienna (2015), Paris (2016), Trieste (2017), London (2018), Poznan (2019), Sofia (2020), Berlin (2021 and 2022) and Tirana (2023). One of the most tangible results of the Berlin Process is the establishment of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO). The Agreement on the Establishment of RYCO was signed by the six Western Balkan prime ministers during the Paris Summit on 4 July 2016. More information is available here
You are the right person for this call if you meet the following criteria:
- Have experience in design work and fall within the range between 18 to 30 years old
- Permanently reside in one of the Western Balkans 6 Contracting Parties (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia)
- Respect the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation in the Western Balkans.
- Possess strong teamwork skills
By embracing this experience, you will have a chance to exchange your ideas and work in a group with 6 creative young individuals from the region, all under the mentorship of an experienced expert – the Creative Director, who will guide and supervise the group through the process.
Reward in the amount of 500 euros and additional perks, such as participation in various RYCO activities, along with cross-promotion opportunities are awaiting the selected candidates.
