Training Course
14-18 October 2024 | Rotterdam, Netherlands
This training is for people active in the implementation of volunteering and solidarity projects. You will learn about community impact, including how it can be created, measured and enhanced in your own project.
Many young volunteers are driven by the desire to learn and make a change. But what is that, really, ‘making a change’? And how can you design volunteering activities in such a way that the this is achieved?
In this training course we will work on making change happen by taking a closer look at the concept of community impact. After understanding the communities that you are working in and the impact that you would like to achieve, you will start working on the contours of an action plan that will help you to enhance the community impact of your own volunteering activities. You will learn about effective tools and methods to create and measure impact.
Of course, we will inspire you with good practices from the Netherlands as well as provide you with a group of like-minded peers, bringing experience from all over Europe and beyond.
After the training, you will be able to take some concrete first steps to enhancing the impact of your project. This will make your activities even more valuable to the community, the programme, and young people.
We warmly invite people with more and less experience with the programme and/or the topic of community impact to apply, as we fully believe that everyone may benefit from this training. The programme will be tailored to participants with different levels of experience.
Arrival of the participants is foreseen on 14 October. The training starts in the morning of 15 October and will end around 18:00 on 17 October. You may plan your departure for the evening of 17 October or depart on 18 October.
