You will be redirected to Canvas online platform to register for the course. Once you register, you will see existing training modules of YOCOMO – an ETS online course on competence-based development for youth workers. YOCOMO Attitudes and Behaviours training modules will start to unlock on 16.11.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- To explore the nature of attitudes and behaviours and notion of magic connected to them;
- To reflect on personal attitudes and understanding their significance in youth work;
- To recognise personal behaviours and attitudes emerging in particular youth work situations;
- To explore personal stand in relation to contemporary societal issues that participants are willing to take as a youth worker;
- To explore how attitudes and behaviours form and change;
- To learn about different ways of practicing change in attitudes and behaviours.
STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE
The course is structured into 3 thematic modules:
- Module 1: About attitudes and behaviours
- Module 2: The process of change
- Module 3: Ways to develop attitudes and behaviours
The three modules are an extension of the existing MOOC ‘YOCOMO – an ETS online course on competence-based development for youth workers.’ They are interlinked and are building on the existing content. At the same time, they could be taken as a separate course and they do not require that you have already completed the previous modules.
Each module is structured into 7-9 sessions offering different interactive learning content online, which is uploaded to the Canvas MOOC hosting platform. Participants learn through animated videos, pre-recorded video interviews, educational texts and interactive tasks.
Each module will require 1-4 hours to complete the activities.
The first week starts with Module 1 and every week there will be a new module opened.
