ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Youth Exchange will be grounded in non-formal education, with an experienced trainers’ team facilitating the participants’ learning process. The methodology will prioritize a learner-centered approach and include theoretical elements covering Erasmus+ and theater and drama methodology. Practical components will equip youth workers with theater tools to empower minorities, foster experience sharing, and encourage reflection on acquired competences, alongside the development of new theater methodologies for working with minority youth. Participants will engage in the practice of Stanislavsky Theatre (psychological theater), improvisation theater methods, and pantomime techniques.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

The overall aim of the Youth Exchange is to enhance mental well-being and combat the stigmatization of mental health issues, thereby promoting the social inclusion of all young people.

The learning objectives of the Youth Exchange are as follows:

PROJECT METHODOLOGY

Each activity has a specific aim related to the objectives, learning outcomes, and expected impact. Additionally, these activities will promote values such as tolerance, respect for cultural diversity, gender equality, mutual understanding, and solidarity. To ensure the fulfillment of these goals, group leaders will facilitate each activity using non-formal and informal methodologies. Each partner will be responsible for the successful implementation of specific activities, and all countries will participate equally in all activities. These planned activities have been developed in collaboration with experienced youth workers and facilitators, drawing inspiration from the Salto toolbox and our extensive training experience. Non-formal and informal methods will be carefully chosen to create a balanced and enjoyable learning atmosphere, allowing participants to share, listen, express themselves, get involved, contribute, support each other, and develop new competencies. Practical opportunities for improving physical and health competences will be provided by starting and finishing each working day with sports or other physical activities. At the end of each day, group reflections will be organized to facilitate participants’ learning processes and enhance each subsequent day’s activities. Through activities like the World café, participants will engage in deep discussions about marginalization and social exclusion in the context of sports and a healthy lifestyle. Role-playing and case scenarios will be used to illustrate how individuals encounter social exclusion in their daily lives and to explore solutions, tools for inclusion, and actions they can take within their communities to promote inclusion.
