Do you have extensive expertise and skills in youth work?If yes, you are welcome to share! If not, you are welcome to learn together with us! You will get new inspiration, tools, and perspectives for your work with At-Risk Youth.
The focus of the conference are programmes or approaches that can provide at-risk youth with support that is attuned to their needs and can develop their social and educational competences as well as empower them to overcome personal hardships and challenges.
Overall Aim
The overall aim of the Conference is to exchange experiences among professionals, present examples of good practice, learn about new ways of working, methods and, of course, deepen the expertise of various topics.
This meeting of professionals and practitioners from the field of working with at-risk youth will focus on subjects intertwined throughout our workdays as well as our everyday lives.
Objectives
The main focus of the conference are programmes or approaches that can provide at-risk youth with support that is attuned to their needs and can develop their social and educational competences as well as empower them to overcome personal hardships and challenges. The themes for this year will focus on new forms of youth subcultures, different paths to mental health for (young) people, and innovative approaches in arts and sports etc. that are applied in work with at-risk youth.
What is mental health, does is exist by itself or is it only a social construct of appropriate behaviour and emotions? Understanding of this concept of health concerns both, us as professional workers as well as our clients, which influences our professional performance. In addition, we want to discuss how do young people socialise and unite today?
Where are they?
Which and what kind of groups do they identify with.
Where and how can we join them on their journey to adulthood?
Just as last year, we continue with presentations of innovative approaches from the field of sports, art, and other methods which can facilitate the best possible basis for a good working relationship for young people as well as us who work with them.
The basis of the conference is the question of programs and/or approaches which can provide at-risk youth with the support that is tailored to their needs, develop their competencies that will enable them a greater degree of social inclusion and autonomy, and empower them to overcome personal hardships and challenges.

Every day after the plenary session, there will be presentations by 66 selected people, who will present various 20 minutes contributions on topics related to the three topics of the conference. From 66 contributions, you will be able to choose the ones that interest you and attend only in the hall where the chosen topic or presentation will take place.
