The professional universe of music has really changed in recent decades and at the present time we’re facing a new transformation amplified by the pandemic. We propose this Youth entrepreneurship in vocal music course as a basic tool to build their future
PREAMBLE
European Academy of Vocal Art was born for training singers at the highest level, whatever the
musical genre in which they decide to specialize.
Its director, the soprano, composer, orchestra director, producer and cultural manager Pilar Jurado, prints her vision 360º of world of the voice, incorporating fundamental materials for their professional development but that had not been introduced into the training of new vocal interpreters. previously in the studies of this discipline.
The professional universe of music has really changed in recent decades and at the present time we are facing a new transformation amplified by the pandemic, which forces young people to find in entrepreneurship and self-management the ways to build their careers professional.
From these premises and the extensive professional and management experience of the teachers of European Academy of Vocal Art, a PROFESSIONAL TRAINING COURSE FOR SINGERS has been created.
A good vocal technique that allows them to sing is as important for singers as knowledge of all the tools that will allow them to practice their profession without depending on old structures that are becoming obsolete and that contribute little to the possibilities that technology already has puts in the hands of young artists.
Convinced that a high-level training given by the best professionals can transform the lives of those who receive it, we propose these Youth entrepreneurship in vocal music courses as a basic tool on which to build their future.
Objectives of the activity
- Training young singers to help them understand the pillars of music industry today and how to develop business around their talent, as well as learning about the new professions that are emerging around new technologies and the world of voice.
- Help singers understand existing procedures, code of conduct and policies in relation to their professional world.
- Increase the ability to learn from experience and create the environment that allows them to self-manage their career.
- Offering through these courses equal opportunities to access them, considering the equality of all genders and the inclusion of people with disabilities or in disadvantaged situations and with fewer opportunities.
- Create a community of new trainers of vocal artists who share this global vision of the professionalization of singing in all its genres and help consolidate this transformation in young people. Community in which cooperation and exchange in digital education are encouraged, which provides new solutions to new challenges and which promotes new proposals to open the way to the professionalization and dissemination of young artists.
- Generate, not only through professional training but also personal development, more confidence in young people and a higher level of motivation, giving them professional and emotional tools to adapt to a changing environment.
The learning design of these courses is based on a methodology to develop cultural and business ventures within the field of the singing voice that consists of three stages: creation, validation and the business plan. All this must be understood within an environment with very special characteristics where intellectual property plays a very important factor, as well as the new regulations around the “value gap” that were approved by the European Commission on September 14, 2016 and that put Europe at the international forefront of digital protection for creators and artists.
The course will be held in 5 days in which the topics will be presented and worked from a creative vision, each of the attendees providing a specific idea to undertake based on all the knowledge they will acquire during those days.
