Do you want to take a moment to explore the concept of innovation in youth work with colleagues from across Europe? In this webinar we will look at the ‘cultural factors’ and conditions within an organisation that foster innovative thinking and practices.
We are excited to invite you to the third webinar of the pre-European Academy of Youth Work (EAYW) webinar series Learning in Times of Disruption and Change.
A few words of introduction…
The consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic require youth workers and other professionals in the field of youth work to rethink and adapt their approaches and ways of working. In the EAYW, we want to support the professional development of youth workers and other professionals in youth work practice, policy and research, even in times of uncertainty, like the ones we are living today.
The “Learning in Times of Disruption and Change” webinars are 2 1/2-hour long dynamic online sessions where you will explore the concept of Innovation in your practice with other colleagues from different parts of Europe.
Webinar 4: Cultures of Innovation
Time: 10th March 2022, 9:30 – 12:00 Central European Time
‘Culture eats strategy for breakfast.’ It seems having an intention to innovate and setting the right strategies to do so is not enough, if the ‘right’ culture is not in place.
In this webinar, we aim to explore what are the ‘cultural factors’ and conditions within an organisation that foster innovative thinking and the development of innovative youth work practices.
The webinar will start at 9:30 with optional 20 min. of well-being activities, led by embodiment trainer Sandra Gojić. From 10.00 – 12.00 CET, the content-part of the webinar will include short inputs and well as moments of exchange among participants allowing you to relate the inputs to your and the other participants’ youth work-related experiences.
To stimulate reflection, we will have an input about the organisational factors found in the recent EAYW research on innovation.
In addition to that, we have invited a guest expert specialised in innovation management in NGOs that should help us to realize what youth work organisations can learn from other professional fields about innovation.
Carlos Azevedo is the President of the Board of Directors and CEO at IES-Social Business School, founder and former president of the Board of Directors of ESLIDER-PORTUGAL – National Network for Civil Society Leaders – and former Board member at EUCLID-Network – European Network for Civil Society Leaders. He is also the author of several books on social innovation and holds different engagements in higher education in the fields of economics, business and social entrepreneurship.
We believe that all together, these inputs and the reflection moments in the group of participants will create enough food for thought and inspiration, and lead to many exciting and useful insights.
Interested? We are looking forward to seeing you there!
