This June, we implemented a training course for youth workers named Volunteering Made Easy in our education center in Veliki Žitnik. The course was held in the format of a mobility for youth workers within the Erasmus+ program.
We gathered youth workers from Spain, Lithuania, France, Portugal, and Croatia. During a week, they’ve discussed and shared experiences and best practices about volunteer coordination, how to receive funding for volunteering projects and activities, and how to make the best out of the experience of including volunteers, particularly youngsters from other countries, into our organizations.
As a result of the project, we’ve gathered our most important conclusions in a handbook that we proudly present.
The handbook is aimed at youth NGOs and their staff who want to start including volunteers in their work or improve their existing practice of volunteer recruitment and coordination.
Inside, you will find tips on the following topics:
- Volunteering Within the European Solidarity Corps
- Digital Tools for Project Management
- Design Thinking
- Ice Breakers and Team Building
- Motivation
- Conflict Management
- Visibility and Digital Promotion of Volunteering Projects
- Volunteering Made Easy!
